A NEW HOPE FROM THE LORD GOD!

may 8, 2006

A NEW HOPE . . .

Overtime service was almost over last Friday (May 5, 2006) when our Director called us. It was a shivering moment for all of us. Because we have no idea what his purpose in calling us inside the "Small Brother's House". We waited inside and we kept on trying to ask questions just only to pacify our nervous system. After a while, the Director got inside his office. And the whole purpose of that short meeting was to request us to sign a waiver that we agree not to be promoted in the meantime for Ms. Virginia "ate gie" Silvestre's sake. Ate Gie is retiring in 6-month's time. It is against the rule of the Civil Service to promote an employee who is retirable na. To make the story short, one of the many requirements for her to taste the sweet glory of promotion is for us to waive our right over that promotion since we are more qualified than her in that position (I don't know if it's really Bank Officer I - only God knows!).

Well, being a medium to be a help to someone is for me a great opportunity. That's why, I did not hesitate to say YES to the Director. Ate Gie has only a few months of stay in BSP, so why do I have to deprive her of that great blessing?

So, when I went home, I tried to recall everything. I lifted up to the Lord Jesus the hard situation where i am in now. Signing a waiver, means no promotion for me while everybody is being upgraded now. So i prayed to God to enlighten me and give me assurance that He won't forsake me... that inspite of my plan to really sign the waiver, He would intercede because I know that He knows what is best for me. Thank you so much, Dear God, as of this writing, I already know that since this morning, you are already intervening. One proof: one of the promotables, is not going to sign the waiver. And as of this moment, none of them is trying to approach me to sign that waiver.

Father God, it's really worth lifting to you our heart's burden because You are there to give us what's best for us and You have always the best plan for us. Thank you so much. I give back the praises, the glory and thanksgiving, in Jesus Name, i pray, Amen!
